i’m going to guess that the baby mastiff lives with any dog she didn’t play with – maybe the brown lab?? familiarity == boring! but also – baby mastiff!!! come live with meeee!

Like your thought process, but sadly, incorrect.
Baby mastiffs do rule, though.

Baby mastiff and the shiba inu type? – They played very well together…
(But probably not, too easy.)

Never met before this week, but definitely played well together.

By the way, the second dog is a Norwegian Buhund. It’s the first one I’ve ever worked with.

Is it the brown lab and the little white dog?

Do you mean the Norwegian Buhund (the one that played so well with the Mastiff pup), or were you referring to a different little dog?

I was wondering. The eyes were not almond enough for a shiba. I hung out with a bunch of Buhunds at a restaurant cafe in Long Beach.
Buhund are a lot like Iceland sheepdogs, a breed I considered…(they bark a lot.) Sweet, friendly, active dogs, attracting the attention of agility folks.

Yes, this one was quite vocal as a puppy, if memory serves, but a very nice dog.

I was thinking The brown one with the chain collar,
that played also played with the dog that looked like a beagle mix and is with the little white dog at the end of the video.

The chocolate Lab is indeed one of the housemates (and for the record, that’s some bling on his collar, not a chain– we don’t allow those in the play yard). But his housemate isn’t white…

I’ll guess the chocolate Lab and the black&tan standing in the background, who runs off-screen at about 50 seconds. There’s something similar about how they compose themselves, even though the one is a little further off in the distance.
Kudos to the owners of the mastiff pup for getting him in with you so early in life!

I see what you mean regarding the Lab and the min pin mix. But she’s not his housemate.

Is is the lab witt and the beagle mix with the pink collar?

Nope, sorry. But which dog were you referring to in your first guess? Was it the Buhund? You said “little white dog”.

In my first comment I was thinking the little one the lab was with at the end but now I am thinking the Buhund, because they really didn’t play with eachother. Both were busy checking out the other dogs

Well, turns out you were correct the first time! I was thrown off by your description of the little dog as white.
I thought it was interesting that among all the interactions caught on tape, the one between the two housemates was the most contentious.
I’ll also note that had these two not been housemates, I would have interrupted that business very swiftly, rather than let it play out, just as interrupted the baby mastiff by calling her away when she had the young bulldog pinned (although frankly, I think he was kinda digging that).

I guessed those two originally only because my GSD behaves like that with my husbands Borzoi during supervised play with other dogs. The GSD is a bit of the “fun police” when it comes his housemates.

Some dogs are just like that, aren’t they? Anyhow, well done!
